Rail vehicle for use as front and/or rear drive head with high-speed train, has bogies for guiding supporting structure on rails, and traction head mounted around vertical pivoting axis pivotable at supporting structure
The vehicle (1) has two bogies (4, 5) for guiding a supporting structure (3) on rails (6), and a traction head (8) projecting end-sided over one of the bogies. Vertical cross-sectional area of the head tapers away from the bogie. The head is mounted around a vertical pivoting axis (11) pivotable at the structure. The head is pivotable in the same direction with the bogies around the pivoting axis. A forced control is provided between a pivoting movement of the bogies and a pivoting movement of the head. The structure is designed as a double-decker motor coach or a railway car.
