The flag (2) has a horizontal section that is arranged horizontally in a hoisted flag position. The section is stabilized by a flag beam that is guided at a flagpole (1) in a vertically movable manner by a flag carriage (7). A vertical section with a stabilizer (3) is arranged with respect to a carriage-sided end of the horizontal section. The stabilizer is arranged in another vertical section that is designed as hemstitch seam (4). The stabilizer is designed as a flexible rod such as rod plastic rod, carbon fiber staff and glass fiber rod. An independent claim is also included for a flag pole with a bowden cable system.
