The compressor (1) has a compressor unit arranged in housing (2) for compressing a cooling unit. The compressor unit is driven by a drive shaft (6) of a pulley (5) that is connected with a belt of a belt drive of a motor vehicle engine. The drive shaft is coupled with the pulley by a coupling device (12). The pulley is movable supported near the housing by an anti-friction bearing (11). The bearing is formed by a double row angular ball bearing tandem (20) that has two rows of bearing balls between an inner ring and an outer ring, where the balls are guided in paths of different diameters.
