The covering i.e. dryer screen (1) has a central region (10) arranged between edge regions (7, 8) such that a fibrous web (11) is supported on a paper side (5) when the covering is viewed in a machine transverse direction (CMD) for completely covering the central region and partially covering the edge regions. The edge regions in relation to the central region are formed such that excess liquid i.e. water, is accumulated at the edge regions than at the paper side of the central region, where the covering is limited by the edge regions in the machine transverse direction. An independent claim is also included for a method for manufacturing and/or treating of a fibrous web.
