The device has a steering bar (6) relocatably arranged in a steering housing (4), where the steering bar is connected with steerable wheels by joints (13) and track rods at ends of the steering bar. A locating surface (12) cooperates with a flexible end stop (10) for delimitation of a steering stroke for guidance direction. The locating surface is formed by a circumference enlargement (19) of the steering bar, where the locating surface of the steering bar is arranged at a distance from ends of the steering bar around the steering stroke.
