The device i.e. rock bolt (2), has a heat conductive structure (3) i.e. heat-pipe, attached in a longitudinal direction of the device and radially isolated against heat flow, where the device has a length of 1.5 meters. The structure is thermally connected with a thermo-electric generator (4), which generates electrical energy from temperature difference. A transmission module is provided for electromagnetic or sound waves, and sensors are attached to an electronic module for measurement. The electronic module is electrically connected with the generator.
