The module (100) has a conversion device (90) staying in effective connection with an output shaft. The device converts rotational speed of the shaft into rotational speed of a drive shaft (185) of an auxiliary usage drive (186). The device has a coupling unit (113b) coupled with the output shaft and a generator unit (155) connected with the coupling unit for generating electrical energy from a portion of mechanical movement energy of the output shaft. The drive has a motor unit (183) for driving the drive shaft, where the motor unit is supplied with portion of the energy. An independent claim is also included for a machine tool.
