Common rail system validating method for internal-combustion engine i.e. diesel engine, of vehicle, involves determining actual parameter as not plausible, when actual parameter exceeds deviation of pre-determined value
Common rail system validating method for internal-combustion engine i.e. diesel engine, of vehicle, involves determining actual parameter as not plausible, when actual parameter exceeds deviation of pre-determined value
The method involves determining whether a pre-determined operating mode is reached, and determining a parameter i.e. pressure, in a common rail system, when the pre-determined operating mode is reached. The parameter is compared with a stored, predetermined value. The actual parameter is determined as plausible, when the actual parameter is equal to the predetermined value or deviates from the predetermined value. The actual parameter is determined as not plausible, when the actual parameter exceeds the deviation of the predetermined value. An independent claim is also included for a device for validating a common rail system of an internal-combustion engine.
