The knee has an upper joint section (1) comprising a connection head for connection with a thigh, and a joint stopper (4) with two parallel holes (12), where one hole has a slot in a longitudinal direction. A stop cushion (13) is arranged between the joint section and the stopper, and a cushion block is fastened to a middle joint section (2). A lower section (3) is provided for accommodating a pneumatic cylinder, and a piston rod (5) is connected with a pneumatic unit, where the slot is narrowed under the influence of an external force and hinders the rotation of the middle section.
