The headlight (1) has a light module (3) position-adjustable in a carrier (2) by a headlight range control device (4) to create an adjustment of a low-beam light relative to a horizontal (8). The headlight range control device has an inclination sensor (5) i.e. electronic inclination sensor, that is formed for determining the inclination of the light module to the horizontal, where a zero position reference is presettable to the headlight range control device in an installed condition of the headlight by the inclination sensor. An independent claim is also included for a method for calibrating a headlight for a motor vehicle.
