The roller has a fixing device for fixing a traction band in a roller body, where voltage differences of the roller are provided over a band width. A sleeve (1) is mounted on a fixed shaft (5) with a center bearing (2). Pressure cells (4) are provided under a shaft recess (3). Force resulting from a loop is fixed with the cells. Pressure measuring devices (6) are provided along the shaft in an axial movable manner. The measuring device has a pressure receiver (7) e.g. running wheel, internally acting against the sleeve. The measuring devices are provided symmetric to the bearing of the shaft.
