The hose (1) has a casing (2) surrounding a lateral pressure-firm inner hose that accommodates optical fibers. The external diameter of the protection hose is lesser than or equal to 0.80 millimeter and the internal diameter of the protection hose amounts to less than 0.5 millimeter, where the internal diameter is less than or equal to 0.3 millimeter. The casing consists of material that is suitable for use in human or animal body, where the casing is made of polyurethane, silicone material or autoclavable material. The inner hose is formed as a spiral made of metallic material.
