The method for producing dry products from plant sprouts and/or seedlings and/or plants in early growth phase and/or its parts e.g. stems by applying a selectively transformed infrared radiation (4), comprises heating a plant material to be dried at 50-70[deg] C, cooling the plant material in specified temperature region, and drying the plant material in vacuum at -15[deg] C to 40[deg] C with pressure of 10-500 mbar. An inert gas is guided over the plant material. The plant material attains maximum temperature of 40[deg] C, which is increased in dependent of the removal of residual moisture of the material. An independent claim is included for an arrangement for producing dry products from plant sprouts and/or seedlings and/or plants in early growth phase and/or its parts by applying a selectively transformed infrared radiation.
