The chamber (1) has a chip (3) arranged on a chip carrier (2), and a base-sided open flow channel (5) attached to a chamber base for heat transmission in a direction of a chip membrane (10) provided with thermopiles. A backing film is fastened to a base side of the chamber for closing the flow channel, where the backing film is present between the chamber base and the chip membrane for spatial separation of the chamber and the chip. The backing film stays in detachable connection with the chip membrane by an operatable holding device i.e. clamping device, which engages at the chamber. An independent claim is also included for a method for assembling measuring chambers.
