The separator (1) has a rotatable rotor (3) comprising a mantle (6) surrounding an interior (4), where the rotor is opened at an input side. The rotor is connected with a rotating component (14) that rotates in an oil chamber i.e. crank case, such that the rotor rotates within the oil chamber. A chamber (2) is formed by a hollow cylinder (17) that is connected with the rotating component, such that the rotor rotates within or together with the chamber that is arranged within the oil chamber. Flow guiding devices are arranged at an inner side of the mantle.
