The system (1) has a projection wall (2), a display unit e.g. projector (17), forming different image information e.g. video sequence, on the projection wall, and a sensor monitoring a hit surface (11) provided on the projection wall. A controller (14) controls the display unit, detects and evaluates the sensor signals, where a ball e.g. golf ball, is shot on the projection wall and a strike characteristic is determined depending on the detected and evaluated sensor signals by the controller. The image information of the display unit is changed depending on the strike characteristic. An independent claim is also included for a method for controlling a projection system for projection of image information on a projection wall.
