Laser machining system for three-dimensionally expanded workpiece, comprises laser radiation source, laser head, robot over its robotic arm, workpiece receiving device, protection housing connected with suction device, and device support
The laser machining system comprises a laser radiation source, a laser head (1), a robot over its robotic arm (2), a receiving device (6) for a workpiece (7) to be machined, a protection housing (3) connected with a suction device, and a device support (4). The laser radiation is guided from laser source to the laser head installed at the free end of the robotic arm. The receiving device is formed on the device support and a protective cover (5) is positioned with a pre-determined height, whose circulating edge lies at the device support. The protective cover comprises a slot-shaped opening. The laser machining system comprises a laser radiation source, a laser head (1), a robot over its robotic arm (2), a receiving device (6) for a workpiece (7) to be machined, a protection housing (3) connected with a suction device, and a device support (4). The laser radiation is guided from laser source to the laser head installed at the free end of the robotic arm. The receiving device is formed on the device support and a protective cover (5) is positioned with a pre-determined height, whose circulating edge lies at the device support. The protective cover comprises a slot-shaped opening, through which the laser head is moved over the receiving device in a pre-determined distance along a given path, which determines the flow of a machining line and is adapted to the opening in its shape and length. The height of the protective cover is selected within the area of the opening so that the laser head is moved completely into the protective cover. The protective cover is aligned in its shape on the shape of the workpiece surface. The free volume in the protection housing is kept as small as possible. The width of the opening is smaller than the dimension of the cross section of the laser head toward the width of the opening. The opening comprises an extension at both ends. The laser head is inserted from the side of the edge of the protective cover into the protective cover. The robotic arm is coupled by the opening. The length of the opening with the extensions is longer than the pre-determined length (L) of the path and the machining line. The dimension of the cross section of the laser head is formed by an enclosing seal. Sensors are present at the laser head or at the end of the robotic arm depending on the movement of the two components in the opening, and detect the distance or a contact with the side wall of the opening. A shield is attached at the laser head for avoiding the discharge of scattered radiation through the opening. The laser head is bent so that the machining line forms parallel to a side edge of the opening.
