The method involves detecting oscillations by an oscillation sensor, where the oscillations are damped actively. A left tilt cylinder (5) and a right tilt cylinder (6) are controlled by a control unit. An oscillation signal is conducted at the control unit. The controlling of the left tilt cylinder and the right tilt cylinder takes place independently by the control unit and torsion oscillations are actively damped around a vehicle vertical axis.
