The arrangement (1) has four measuring devices (20, 30, 40, 50) measuring a measuring section within flow volumes of a medium e.g. air. The measuring devices are arranged outside of the flow volumes at four measuring positions. The measuring devices detect the running time and/or the amplitude of a measuring signal. The measuring devices are movably arranged between two measuring positions for measuring differently oriented measuring section within the volume in a translatory and/or rotational manner. An independent claim is also included for a method for contactless determination of location-related physical characteristics within flow volume of a medium.
