The device (1) has two seat segments (3) connectable together with one another via a coupling unit (4). Each seat segment exhibits a guidance coupling unit e.g. quick fastener, for coupling with a guidance in order to be move along the guidance. The guidance is designed as a rail system e.g. central rail system, along which the seat segments are movable and is arranged at a motor vehicle base. The seat segments are designed as seat cushions and/or back-rest cushions, so that the seat segments are coupled via the coupling unit to a vehicle seat (2).
