The road sweeper has sweeping devices for road cleaning, and devices for emptying dust bins and/or for receiving of waste. The sweeping devices are designed as mechanically supporting sweeping devices or as suction sweeping devices. The sweeping devices are detachably connected with a vehicle and/or designed as modular units. The road sweeper is designed such that the sweeping devices operating according to different basic principles are provided. The dust bins are lifted and emptied by a hinged lifting unit (5).
