The prosthesis coating has a skin-colored layer which is made of plastic. The prosthesis coating is formed as a hollow body and has an opening for insertion of the prosthesis. Another layer made of plastic in a different color is arranged on the side of the skin-colored layer facing the prosthesis. The skin-colored layer is made up of an elastic material, particularly flexible polyvinyl chloride. A transparent plastic coating is applied on a turned away side of the skin-colored layer of the prosthesis. An independent claim is included for a method for manufacturing a prosthesis coating.
