The detector (2) has time delay-integration lines (Z1-Z3) comprising pixels (P), and a selection register unit designed as a shifting register and attached to an outer line. Registers (R) are assigned to respective pixels of the lines. A masking (M) is provided between the pixels of the lines. The masking has width of a pixel (Pb) or an integral multiple of the pixel (Pb). The registers of the pixels are widened corresponding to the width of the masking, where the detector is shifted in a transverse direction at the pixel width. An independent claim is also included for a detector arrangement comprising line detectors.
