The drawer has a housing fastened to a fitting shaft of a dash board, where the drawer is movable in the housing. A locking mechanism (16) arrests the drawer in a set of positions in the housing and has a linearly movably supported actuating rod (17). A drive moves the drawer from an opened position to a closed position and is actuated by an actuating button (8), which is arranged in a front plate. The actuating button actuates the locking mechanism and is attached to the locking mechanism.
