The mechanism has a hanging device (1) i.e. band drawer, provided for hanging a band connector so that position of the hanging device is changed between a retracting position and extended position on one side, during manual actuation of the hanging device. The mechanism is locked and unlocked in association with the change of the position on another side, during actuation. The retracted hanging device and a housing together fix the connector in a locking position. A passage opening is provided for the hanging device at a side of a casing surface, and another band connector is fixed at housing. An independent claim is also included for a method for actuation of the locking mechanism.
