The device has a cylindrical actuating element (1) with a blade (2) and a centrical support (11) that is provided for a selector shaft (3). A spring element e.g. torsion spring, is supported between the actuating element and the blade, and impinges the blade into a swiveled-out position. The blade has a stop, which limits swiveling out of the blade. The actuating element comprises a coupling unit (5) for coupling the actuating element with the selector shaft depending on a position of the blade, where a radially outwards pointing surface (21) of the blade is formed based on a joint (23).
