The ball race has ball bearings (6) mounted in a cage (7) and a locking sleeve (8) which holds the bearing rings (4, 5) in position. This has a radial flange (8b) whose diameter corresponds to that of the row of bores in the cage. An independent claim is included for a method for making the ball race.
