The converter has a housing provided with a set of housing parts (2) that is detachably connected at supporting components (1). A set of converter components (4) is detachably connected at the supporting components, and accessory parts e.g. power choke, are accommodated in the housing. The housing is designed in a waterproof, splash water and/or dust proof manner. The supporting components are designed in such a manner that the supporting components are mounted on a wall or ground. The converter components and/or accessory parts are screwed at rails. An independent claim is also included for a method for manufacturing different converter.
