The cell (1) has band-like positive and negative electrode foils cylindrically or spirally rolled on a winding spindle (4) i.e. hermetically closed heat pipe. The pipe is filled with working medium (5) e.g. water. An electrical insulating separator e.g. heat resistant plastic foil, is arranged between the negative and positive electrode foils. The pipe forms an electrical pole (4.3) of the cell. The heat pipe is made of copper. The condensed working medium is lead back to an evaporator zone (V) by a capillary structure e.g. copper web padding and grooves.
