The harvester (10) has a chassis (12) movable in a forward direction over a field, and a crop processing mechanism (26) provided with a discharge opening (62) for straw. A rotatable ejector drum (60) is assigned to the opening. A flap (58) of a straw cutter is arranged downstream to the ejector drum and upstream of the inlet of the cutter, which is brought for swath delivery operation in a position and for chaff operation in another position by pivoting around an axis. An auxiliary conveyor (86) e.g. drum conveyor, is arranged downstream to the flap, and effective in the delivery operation.
