The device has a circulating conveying member (5), where a sheet at an edge between gripping fingers and a gripper surface is held on the circulating conveying member. Two gripper surfaces (21.1, 21.2) are detachably fastened to the circulating conveying member by a clamping bridge (19). Cage-like pressure pieces (26, 27) of the clamping bridge are provided in recesses of the gripper surfaces. The recesses are formed in an elongated manner and extended transverse to a conveying direction of the sheet. The clamping bridge is fastened to the member by a screw (20).
