The method involves heating an upper side of a mold (6) forming a cavity (S) by supplying hot mediums to a hot medium path (12) of the mold for increasing temperature of a flat side forming the cavity. A preset amount of molten plastic is injected into the cavity after acquiring the temperature increase. Compressed gases are injected into a chamber between a rearward side of the plastic and a surface of a male mold (27) after injection of the plastic. The plastic at a side surface of the mold is hardened by supplying a cooling medium into the path of the mold by the compressed gases. An independent claim is also included for an injection molding machine for injecting a molten plastic into a cavity between a mold and a male mold.
