The set has two axle shafts (100a, 100b) with respective torsional stiffness, where the torsional stiffness difference between the two torsional stiff nesses is defined by a ratio that is greater about 1.4-1. The axle shafts respectively have sets of physical properties, where difference between the physical properties provides the torsional stiffness difference. One of the axle shafts comprises a jackshaft component (100d) drivingly connected to an axle shaft component (100c). Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a drive system comprising a limited slip differential (2) a method of mitigating power hops in an independently suspended driven axle shaft set.
