The actuator (1) has a selector shaft (8) driven by electric motors (6, 7) in rotating and longitudinal movements and selecting a gear by one of the movements. The shaft is switched by another movement, and a housing (2) is provided between a manual gearbox and the motors. An actuator gearbox (3) is accommodated in the housing in an encapsulated manner, and the housing is partially filled with a lubricant. A shaft sealing ring (18) e.g. radial shaft sealing ring, is provided between the shaft and the housing. A plastic component (17) is provided between the ring and the housing.
