The connector (1) has a connector piece (2) with a connection section (6) for connection with a medium pipe or with a power unit. A transition section (10) includes an internal flow channel (11) and adjoins the connection section. A pipe piece (20) is embedded in the transition section and forms a part of a wall of the flow channel. A heating unit is provided in an arrangement that partially encloses the flow channel. The pipe piece embedded in the transition section is wrapped with the heating unit. The connection section, the transition section and the pipe piece are made of plastic. An independent claim is also included for a device for manufacturing a pipe connector.
