The method involves transmitting data in a data stream into which useful data blocks (D1,D2) are inserted after auxiliary data blocks (G1,G2) relating to them. At least two additional data blocks are inserted one after the other in each case and then the related useful data blocks are inserted in sequence. One auxiliary block can be used in each case in normal mode and more for special operating requirements. Independent claims are also included for the following: an arrangement for transmitting data between two stations.
