A filter (1) comprises a filter boiler (2) having a non-filtrate chamber (3) with an inlet distributor (4) structured so that partial regions (S1, S2) of the distributor are impinged with separately controlled partial streams (T1, T2). Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) an inlet distributor for the filter; and (2) regulating the flow within the filter.
