The method involves cutting a tube (16) helically using laser, by sawing or with cutting tool, where the tube has an inner diameter and an outer diameter corresponding to inner and outer diameter of a spring to be fabricated. An axial traction force is exerted on the spring to rejoin coils (S1-S6) after cutting. The tube has a molded external part that has a spiral electric conductor. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a tool carrier for implementing a helical spring fabricating method (2) a helical spring obtained by implementation of a helical spring fabricating method (3) a steering assembly of a vehicle.
