The device has a removable rigid panel (10) e.g. false door, forming an opening closure and protection unit. A sealing unit isolates an internal volume of a body shell and/or cab interior from a climatic humidity source. A locking and securing unit (20) locks the panel on the body shell in a transport and/or storage position for protecting the interior of the vehicle from the humidity source during fabrication, transport and storage of the vehicle.
