The implant (1) has an element forming a prosthesis (3) that is supported on a muscle of a vocal cord driving a reacting force of the cord on the prosthesis. Another element forms a retainer plate (5) supporting on an internal of thyroid cartilage driving a reaction force of the cartilage on the plate. A connection element (7) connects the prosthesis and the plate. The plate is movable on the element (7) so as to adjust a distance between the prosthesis and the plate for adjusting the forces exerted by the muscle of the cord and by the cartilage for maintaining the implant.
