Use of a thromboxane receptor antagonist (I) for the preparation of a composition to promote hair growth and/or to prevent and/or limit hair loss, is claimed. Independent claims are included for: (1) a cosmetic composition comprising (I) and another hair growth promoting agent and/or hair loss reducing agent; and (2) a process for selecting a hair growth promoting agent and/or hair loss reducing agent for the preparation of the composition, comprising assessing the ability of a component to inhibit the fixation of thromboxane to its receptor.
