The element has a lower part comprising a horizontal top part (13) and openings provided between a top part (11) and the horizontal top part for fixing an upper end (21) of a filler panel (3), where the element is made of a plastic material. The top part (11) has locations for fixing the support element along a longitudinal direction in a rear cross member (5) or a skirt (1) of the vehicle by a screw type mechanical unit. A danner cross member is provided between a vertical rear end of the panel and the element. The lower part has a vertical part destined to be connected with the skirt. An independent claim is also included for a method for mounting a front and rear structures of a motor vehicle.
