The end piece (1) has a body comprising a lower part for forming an engagement part (16). The engagement part is mounted in or on an end (2) of a rectilinear slat (3). An adjusting unit (18) adjusts sliding clearance existing between the end and a guide rail (6). The adjusting unit exerts a spring effect against one of base and lateral walls (8, 9) of the guide rail, while authorizing functional sliding of the end of the slat in the guide rail.
