The injector (5) has a head equipped with an injection channel (9) for injecting fuel in a combustion chamber (11). An injection needle (10) controls the admission of fuel in the injector. An air admission channel (14) has an end (15) projecting, on a lateral wall of the injector, in a zone found in the combustion chamber when the injector is placed in a spark ignition engine. The channel has another end (16) projecting in the injection channel.
