The chamber i.e. exhaust silencer (1), has a fixation component i.e. hook (8), for joining an external tubular casing (2) to a body shell of a motor vehicle. The casing has ribs (32, 34) e.g. rectangular shaped ribs, to which the fixation component is rigidly fixed. The casing is revolved around a central axis (X-X). The ribs are arranged in a region of a lateral face (16) of the casing, and present a curvature radius higher than 120 millimeters. The ribs are extended in a plane perpendicular to the central axis of the casing. An independent claim is also included for a method for manufacturing an exhaust chamber.
