The apparatus (100) has a cabinet (10) having a storing space (12) for receiving clothes (1), and an hot air supplying device for heating the air and supplying the hot air to the storing space. Two sensors are placed for measuring the temperatures of the air conveyed in the storing space and recovered from the space, respectively. A control unit determines dryness of the cloth based on temperatures of the space of the cabinet for controlling the hot air supplying device. An independent claim is also included for method for controlling a fabric treating apparatus.
