The device has a parallelepiped container (1) arranged in a vertical hydroponics support (4) for containing a hydroponics substrate and vegetables provided with roots, where the support supports the vegetables. The support is equipped with orifices (5) for passing stems, and the container is equipped with holes (2) with respect to the orifices for passing the stems. A handle (3) is integrated with the container for extracting the container from the support. An independent claim is also included for a method for extracting a substrate outside a vertical hydroponics support.
