The device has a fixation unit e.g. groove or throttle, and maintaining units i.e. suspending or maintaining clips (5), co-operated with an exhaust manifold (2) of an internal combustion engine of a motor vehicle in a manner that the clips prevent falling of a turbocompressor (1) when the device is fixed to the turbocompressor by the fixation unit. Each clip has an upper section or tongue (52) and a U-shaped lower section (51) whose shape is complementary to that of a base plate or flange (20) of the exhaust manifold. An independent claim is also included for a method for maintaining mounting of a turbocompressor suspended below an exhaust manifold of a motor vehicle.
