The roof has a back window (1) displacing between a service position in which a bottom of the back window is provided at a top level of a boot and a stored position. A flexible cover element (4) has a displacing unit for displacing a front edge of the element towards back of a vehicle. A receiving piece (10) receives the element and is positioned in front of the window. The piece is pivotingly mounted on a body shell of the vehicle to pivot the piece towards the back. The element is stored in a space determined by an internal face of the window and the piece.
