The device has two peristaltic lateral actuators (11, 11') respectively actuating brake pads (14, 14') acting on two surfaces of a disc (15) for implementing braking on a motor vehicle, where one of the actuators is in direct contact with the pad (14). A central actuator is mounted between the lateral actuators, and acts on the pad (14') by a caliper clamp and a counter caliper clamp. The pad (14') is directly supported on a deformable bar e.g. piezoelectric, magnetostrictive, or shape memory alloy type bar, of the respective actuator or on rods of the respective actuator.
